Navigating federal benefits can be a complex and overwhelming endeavor. At our speaker events, our mission is to alleviate this confusion and arm federal employees with the knowledge and tools necessary to confidently navigate their retirement journey. Through engaging sessions, we not only provide essential education but also offer real-life examples illustrating how employees can apply their newfound knowledge. Far from a tedious lecture on rules and regulations, our events foster an interactive environment where employees can actively craft a retirement plan tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. Additionally, for those requiring extra assistance, we offer personalized one-on-one education sessions to ensure they create a plan that’s right for them.

We work with benefits officers and HR specialist to provide a session that is tailored to your agencies needs. We offer in-person and virtual sessions, lunch and learns, half-day, full-day, and multi-day sessions about a wide variety of topics. Each session provides attendees with clear, easy to understand education on the topic followed by real-life applications and then opportunity to answer questions. Our goal is to provide attendees with actionable information in an engaging and efficient format.

Topics We Cover

CSRS/FES Pension

As a federal employee you are one of the remaining groups still entitled to a lifetime pension; this is great! There are also strategies you can deploy to maximize your benefits. To include, but not limited to; buying back military time, converting sick leave time, and working past 62.

Long Term Care

 Individuals over 65 have a 70% chance of requiring at least some type of long-term care services during their lifetime.2 As a Federal employee, there are many options to consider, including the plan that only Federal Employees and their immediate families can apply to.

Medicare

Putting the ‘Care’ into Medicare. Medicare is a complicated benefit, and every Federal Employee will be affected by at least a partial piece of the program during their retirement.

FELGI

What you don’t know can hurt you with FEGLI. By hurt, we mean coverage and cost. The FEGLI program provides good coverage, but it also comes with its own rules. If one doesn’t understand the rules, there could be a surprise when coverage is needed most.

Social Security

Social Security is one of the most complicated, least understood Federal Benefits available today. Designed to cover a wide range of situations, it’s easy to get lost in understanding which information is important to you. Our session cuts through the noise and gives you the information to make educated decisions on your social security benefits.

TSP Strategy

G, F, C, S, I, and L. What are those letters and why are they very important to all Federal employees? TSP savings will account for a large portion of Federal Employees retirement income and knowing how to utilize the funds available will be invaluable. This session covers what is the TSP, how does it work and dives into investment education to learn strategies to maximize your saving efforts.

Financial Strategy

From listening intently for 30+ years to the Federal employees we serve, we have learned that a large number have a pretty good basic understanding of the benefits individually.  You have told us that understanding strategies for how to make suitable decisions to coordinate the benefits is valuable to you. Our Financial Strategies for Feds presentation helps to bring it all together. This presentation is a great way to address many of the “what should I do and when should I do it” questions.
